Avalon Elementary School, Replacement School

WAI provided full design services for mechanical, HVAC acoustics, plumbing, fire protection engineering systems, electrical power distribution, lighting design, and IT system design for this new 55,392 ­sq. ft. elementary school.  Avalon Elementary School includes: a multipurpose room, a kitchen, a health room, a library and library support rooms, TV studio and control rooms, science laboratories, general and special education classrooms, computer laboratory, music and art rooms, conference rooms, lounges, etc. This new elementary school replaced the existing facility with a new, state of the art facility designed for LEED Gold.  This project also included a geothermal well field with an active chilled beam system maximizing the HVAC system’s sustainability.
