WAI provided plumbing, fire alarm, and fire sprinkler services for a new 18,500 sq. ft. free-standing emergency facility and a new $5.1 million, 3-story, 60,000 sq. ft. medical office building. The plumbing design for both projects included: DWV, storm, domestic water, natural gas, medical gases, and vacuum.
The $6.5 million ER facility operates on a 24-hour, 7-days a week schedule to serve the residents of Queen Anne’s County and the neighboring region. It is a full-service licensed emergency department, including imaging and laboratory services, with 11 treatment rooms and on-site imaging and laboratory services. The emergency facility has the ability to care for all levels of medical emergencies, accept emergency medical services transports, and transfer to hospitals if needed via ambulance or medical helicopter.
The Medical Office Building houses: imaging, primary care, orthopedics, OB/GYN and psychiatry. Other services available include: diagnostic and laboratory testing, physical and speech therapy, occupational health services and several specialty practices. This medical pavilion adds primary and specialty medical services to Shore Health System’s Queen Anne’s County campus, located on the same site as Queen Anne’s County Emergency Center.
