National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Peer Review

WAI provided a peer review for GSA for a new 10-story, 500,000 sq. ft. office building, including a high-performance data center utilizing 2.3 MW of UPS and on-site power generation along with N+2 electrical services.  This $100+ million building houses 2,000 employees of NIH’s NIAID division.  This project included a 5-story parking garage adjacent to the building.  GSA guidelines were followed for this project.  This project exceeded it requirement of LEED Gold and achieved LEED Platinum.

The GSA Project Team received a National Capital Region Award for Lease Construction and Prospectus for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) project.  “Although GSA only officially recognizes federal employees for this award, Weigand Associates has played a large role in the continued success of the project.  We are grateful to having your team involved.” – Daniel S. Cutrona, Archvia.  “This was a GSA employee only award but Dan and team deserve a ton of credit.” – Eric Albrecht, Project Executive, GSA.  WAI was proud to provide peer review for this project.
